No account, no stored videos, no retained links. This page explains precisely what happens to the small amount of data the service does handle.
You do not create an account. We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details. We do not store the videos you download, and we do not keep the links you paste after the request finishes.
There is no connection between this site and your account on X. We cannot see who you are on that platform, cannot read your timeline, and could not act on your behalf if we tried, we hold nothing that would allow it.
When you submit a post link, the numeric post ID is extracted and used to request that post's public data from X. The link is held in memory for the duration of that request and is not written to a database or a log file.
The response, the author's handle, the post text and the list of available video files, is returned to your browser and cached briefly so that a post someone has already requested resolves faster. That cache holds public post data only. It contains nothing about you.
Every web request carries an IP address; this is how the internet works and cannot be avoided. We use yours for exactly one purpose: as a key in an in-memory counter that limits how many requests can be made per minute, which prevents automated abuse of the service.
That counter is held in memory only, expires within a minute, and is never written to persistent storage. We do not build profiles, and we cannot connect requests made at different times to the same person.
Our hosting provider processes the technical details that accompany any HTTP request, the user-agent string identifying your browser, and the page requested. This is ordinary infrastructure operation and is not used to identify or track individuals.
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no session to maintain, no preference to remember, and no analytics identifier to persist.
Your browser may cache pages and static assets, which is standard behaviour that speeds up repeat visits. That cache lives on your device and is not readable by us.
Two external parties are necessarily involved when you use the downloader:
X (formerly Twitter). Requests for post data and media go to X's servers, which is unavoidable, that is where the video is. Those requests are made by our server rather than your browser, so X receives our infrastructure's details, not yours. Video thumbnails shown in results are loaded directly by your browser from X's image CDN, which means X's servers see your IP address for those image requests. X's own privacy policy governs that.
Our hosting provider. The site runs on third-party infrastructure that processes requests in order to serve pages. They act as a processor on our behalf.
Data protection law gives you rights of access, correction and erasure over personal data held about you. In practice we hold no personal data to which those rights could attach, there is no account, no stored history and no persistent identifier.

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, this is a statement of intent rather than a data-handling practice.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published here with an updated date at the top. Material changes to what we process will be described plainly rather than buried in redrafted paragraphs.
